Anger in Sahu community due to caste-based abuse and death threats, memorandum submitted to SDM, warning of agitation if the accused is not arrested soon

Sandeep Singh Thakur, Lormi. Today, hundreds of angry people of Tehsil Sahu Samaj in Lormi of Mungeli district submitted a memorandum to the SDM and demanded immediate arrest of the accused who used obscene language against the society. They also warned of a fierce agitation if action is not taken soon.

The people of the society allege that Prahlad Sharma alias Bodu of Lilapur village sent a speed post using caste-based abuses and threatening to kill. He also made obscene comments against the devotee Mata Karma. After a written complaint was lodged against the accused in Chilfi police station 6 days ago, a crime has been registered under various sections, but the accused has not been arrested yet.

Even after a week, when no proper action was taken, the angry people of Sahu community submitted a memorandum to the SDM and warned of fierce agitation and sit-in demonstrations. Regarding this matter, SDM Ajit Pujari of Lormi said that the people of Sahu community have given a memorandum regarding the unpleasant incident. Taking the complaint seriously, appropriate action will be taken by the police administration.
