Cash Payment Facility and Other Digital Services to Commence in 1460 Gram Panchayats of the State from April 24, Panchayat Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Had Promised the People of Chhattisgarh to Start Cash Payment Facility in Gram Panchayats

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Addressed the MoU Program Organized for Atal Panchayat Digital Facilitation Center

MoU Between Common Service Center Service Providers and Sarpanchs

Raipur, April 14, 2025/On the occasion of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, another guarantee of Modi is going to be fulfilled in Chhattisgarh. Cash payment and other digital services will be started in 1460 Gram Panchayats of the state from April 24, Panchayat Day. In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, an MoU was signed for “Atal Panchayat Digital Facilitation Center” in 10-10 Gram Panchayats of each development block of the state.
In these facilitation centers, villagers will now be able to get many facilities under one roof. They will be able to easily withdraw money from their accounts, send money from their accounts to someone else’s account, pay electricity and water bills, and avail of many facilities like pension and insurance in their Panchayats itself.

Today, an MoU was signed between the service providers of the Common Service Center and the Sarpanchs for the Atal Panchayat Digital Facilitation Center. This program was organized in all the district headquarters of the state. With the commencement of these facilitation centers, villagers will not have to go to development block and district headquarters for small tasks. They will be able to avail the benefit of many facilities in the village itself.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, while addressing the program organized at the district headquarters through video conferencing from his residence office, said that today is a historic day for Chhattisgarh. We are going to fulfill another guarantee of Modi’s guarantee. During the assembly elections, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had promised the people of Chhattisgarh to start the facility of cash payment in Gram Panchayats, which is now going to be fulfilled.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that we have fulfilled most of the promises of Modi’s guarantee in just over a year. Be it the purchase of paddy at Rs 3100 for farmers or the paddy bonus of the last two years, the Mahtari Vandan Yojana for women, the Ramlala Darshan for the elderly, the re-commencement of the Chief Minister Teerth Darshan Yojana, or the promise to give Rs 10,000 annually to 5 lakh 62 thousand agricultural laborers. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that with these facilitation centers starting in Gram Panchayats, farmers will be able to receive payments for paddy, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, pension and other schemes, as well as avail benefits of birth and death certificates and other facilities.

Every Needy and Eligible Person Should Be Included in the Housing Survey List, and Get the Benefit of the Scheme

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dream is that everyone should have a pucca house. In the tenure of the previous government, 18 lakh beneficiaries were deprived of housing. On the second day of taking the oath, we approved 18 lakh houses in the cabinet meeting. So far, we have received 14 lakh houses from the center. Two days ago, Union Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed that they are going to approve three and a half lakh houses for Chhattisgarh. So that everyone gets a house, we have increased the scope of eligibility in the “Awas Plus Plus” survey, so that the dream of everyone’s house can be fulfilled.

He appealed to all the public representatives associated with the program that the survey of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Plus Plus is being conducted from April 15 to April 30. The names of all the needy and eligible beneficiaries should be included in the list of this survey, so that they can get the benefit of the scheme.

Appeal for Water Harvesting in Every Village

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed serious concern over the falling ground water level in the state. He appealed to adopt water harvesting to promote water conservation in every village.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that Atal Panchayat Digital Facilitation Center will prove to be a milestone in promoting financial facility in Panchayats. With these, facilities like railway ticket booking or withdrawal of scholarship, pension amount will definitely be available in the Gram Panchayats itself at one place. With this, we can fulfill the resolution of making Gram Panchayats self-reliant. Shri Sharma said that the falling level of ground water in the state is very worrying.
