Bhatapara Rural Police has got great success in catching the gang of thieves who steal motorcycles and sell them in the surrounding areas. 55 bikes have been recovered from the accused. The accused include an unemployed mechanical engineer, Choice Center operator and four other accused, one of whom is a minor.
Disclosing the matter, SSP Sadanand Kumar said that incidents of motorcycle theft were taking place in the district but the accused were not being caught. On this, under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Avinash Thakur, Bhatapara SDOP Ashish Arora, Rural Police Station Incharge Amit Patle, Cyber Cell and police team worked hard and achieved success and recovered 55 motorcycles from the accused.
The leader of the gang is a mechanical engineer.
SSP said that the leader of this gang is mechanical engineer Aman Khan, who used to sell stolen motorcycles to customers by designing fake RC books. In this, the card was printed from the choice center operator’s place. There is also a motorcycle salesman involved in this work, who used to give affidavits to the customers and then gave it to Aman Khan for RC book design. In this way the entire process took place and the accused could not be caught.
Used to commit theft in Raipur and surrounding areas
SSP said that these accused often used to steal motorcycles in Raipur and its surrounding areas, which include Hero Honda, Activa, etc. According to the accused, it was easy to steal and it was easily sold but our team worked hard on it and got success. Now the accused will be interrogated further and action will be taken against whoever is involved in this.
