BJP and Congress face to face on Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the matter reached till issuing a letter

Raipur. After the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh, PM Awas has remained the biggest political issue. This issue was discussed a lot in the current monsoon session, Congressmen have also demonstrated on the road on this issue. Not only this, political attacks and counter-attacks on PM Awas have now started coming from Delhi as well. After the statement of Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in Delhi, politics on this has intensified in the state. Every day statements are coming in the media from the ruling party and the opposition. Leaders like Chauhan, Sai, Sao and Baghel have attacked and counter-attacked each other. And the matter has reached to issuing a government letter.

Congress government had done injustice- Shivraj Singh Chouhan

In fact, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai had met Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in Delhi recently. He had demanded early approval of the PM housing projects that are stuck in the state. Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that “the previous government of Chhattisgarh did injustice to the people of Chhattisgarh. The central government used to send money from here but the state government did not give the share that the state government had to put in it, due to which houses were not built in Chhattisgarh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the last 5 years. The central government is ready to give every help to Chhattisgarh regarding the PM housing scheme.

Congress government did not give state share- Vishnudev Sai

On the other hand, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has said that in the last five years, 18 lakh people of Chhattisgarh were deprived of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). The then Congress government did not give the state share. We presented our point in front of the Union Rural Development Minister and talked about allocating the money received under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana from the Center.

Salt on the poor – Arun Sao

On Tuesday, while talking to journalists, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw said that Congress rubs salt on the wounds of the poor. The Congress government has made the people of Chhattisgarh suffer for PM housing. After the BJP government came to power, 5000 houses have started being built in cities. The truth is that during the Congress government, the state share was not provided by the Centre. Moreover, the then Panchayat Minister TA Singhdev had to resign from the Panchayat Department.

….if you want, you can issue a letter- Bhupesh Baghel

Amidst all this, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel says that false statements were made against me by the Union Minister regarding PM Awas. So that I can be proved a liar. Whereas the truth is that during our government, we had made a separate budget provision for PM Awas. No dividend was given by the Center. Not only this, whatever is being said about the current housing, the government should tell whether even a single house has been approved or not. I had asked a question on this in the House, but the answer did not come. Now they are saying something else outside the House. The government has talked about building 18 lakh houses. It is visible in the hoardings, but it is nowhere on the ground. The government is working only on paper. And anyway, the government has all the records of what happened or what did not happen in our government regarding PM Awas. If they want, they can release whatever letters of the state and central government.
