Bilaspur. Police have arrested the head master Ratan Lal Sarovar, who administered the oath to the children and some youth of Government Primary School Bharari in Ratanpur of the district not to believe in Hindu Gods and Goddesses. It is being told that the accused Head Master Ratan Lal Sarovar had gathered these children in a square near his house on January 22, the day of Ramlala’s consecration in the Ram temple of Ayodhya, and made them take an oath of not believing in Hindu Gods and Goddesses. During this time someone had made a video of this incident and made it viral on social media.
After this news was shown on social media and some TV channels, the Education Department took cognizance of the whole matter and adopted a strict stance. District Education Officer TR Sahu had ordered a departmental inquiry considering the headmaster’s actions as against the dignity of government. Many Hindu organizations had submitted a memorandum at Ratanpur police station demanding action against the headmaster.
According to the information, the departmental investigation confirmed that in the viral video, the head master of the government primary school, Ratan Lal Sarovar, made the children and youth take an oath of not believing in Hindu deities. After which Head Master Ratan Lal Sarovar was suspended with immediate effect due to violation of Rule 3 of Civil Services Conduct Rules 1965. Today, after the complaint of Hindu organizations, Ratanpur police took action under sections 153 A and 295 A and arrested Ratan Lal Sarovar.
