Raipur. Today is the second day of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Chhattisgarh. Amit Shah will participate in various programs today. Also, a strategy for inter-state coordination will be made to deal with Naxalism. According to the scheduled program, Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ashram Champaran at 10.30 am today. After the darshan, he will hold an inter-state coordination meeting at Mayfair Resort in the capital at 11.30 am. The Director General of Police (DGP) and Chief Secretaries of Chhattisgarh and 7 neighboring states will also participate in this meeting. A meeting will be held regarding Chhattisgarh at 2.30 pm, in which security and development in Naxal-affected areas will be discussed. After that Home Minister Amit Shah will address a press conference at 5.30 pm.
CM Sai’s tour program
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will be on tour today with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. CM Sai will leave for Nava Raipur from the Chief Minister’s residence at 9 am. CM Sai will visit Vallabhacharya Ashram Champaran with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The Home Minister and the Chief Minister will leave from Raipur Airport at 10:20 am. After visiting Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Ashram Champaran, he will attend the Inter State Co-ordination Committee and security and development related meetings in Naxal-affected areas in the afternoon. After that CM Sai will return to the Chief Minister’s residence at 9 pm.
Congress’s statewide protest against the arrest of MLA Devendra Yadav
Congress will protest across the state today against the arrest of MLA Devendra Yadav. Congress workers will protest in all the district headquarters. In the capital Raipur, a protest will be held outside the Central Jail at 12.30 pm under the leadership of State President Deepak Baij. State in-charge Sachin Pilot will also participate in this protest. Let us tell you that MLA Devendra Yadav is in jail in the Balodabazar violence case. Devendra Yadav will appear in court on August 27.
‘Walk and Talk’ programme on Butterflies
Experts will give information about butterflies in Nandanvan Jungle Safari today from 7 am to 10.30 am. In this program, people will be made aware about the importance of butterflies, biodiversity and environmental conservation. This program is being organized by Biodiversity Conservation Society, Chhattisgarh Science Sabha and private educational institutions.
AYUSH health fair organized
A district level free AYUSH health fair is being organized under the sponsorship of Directorate of AYUSH Department Raipur. This program will be held at Al-Falah Towers Baronbazar near Chhattisgarh College from 10 am to 4 pm.
Music evening program in Surjan Hall
Geet Gunjan Musical Group is organizing a musical evening Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya…. Experienced and budding artists of the city will perform in this program organized in Mayaram Surjan Hall on August 24. About 15 artists including Dayaram Sahu, Devesh Sahu, Rajendra Sharma, Gopal Agarwal, Mitu Lahare, Anamika Gupta will perform evergreen songs in their melodious voices.
