Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. A smuggler smuggling ganja by train has been arrested with ganja. The accused was caught on platform number 2-3 of Bilaspur station. The accused used to call himself a Special Task Force (STF) personnel of Mumbai Police. GRP arrested the accused during checking.
Last night, during checking, Kalpesh Patil, a Mumbai resident, was seen waiting for a train at platform number 2-3 Raipur end of Bilaspur railway station. When GRP constables questioned him, he said that he was from Mumbai Police’s Special Task Force. On suspicion, the constables searched him and found 18 kg of ganja in his bag, which is worth Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand. He was earlier also caught by GRP Bilaspur with 10 kg of ganja. Action is being taken against the accused by registering a case under NDPS Act.
