Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. Multi-level parking construction work is going on in the old bus stand of Nyayadhani. In which a fine of Rs 60 lakh has been imposed on the contract company for delay. The corporation administration has imposed this fine on Kolkata's contract company Sim Park.
Under Smart City, Chhattisgarh's first automated multilevel shuttle type car parking is being constructed in the old bus stand complex of Bilaspur, which will be a completely automated shuttle type car parking. In which as soon as the car is parked on the ground floor, the car will reach the upper floor through the automatic system. Shuttle type multilevel car parking is being built in about ten and a half thousand square feet area. This will be a four-storey car parking. Bikes will be parked in the ground floor of the parking lot and there will be a provision to park 80 cars in it.
This automatic car parking is being constructed by Smart City at a total cost of Rs 12 crore 60 lakh. Its contract was awarded a year ago to a company called SIM Park of Kolkata. According to the terms and conditions of the tender, multilevel car parking was to be constructed in about 12 months, but the tender period has ended in the month of January and yet the work of multilevel parking has not reached above the foundation. The work of multilevel car parking is going on very slowly, for which Smart City has imposed a penalty of five percent of the tender amount of about Rs 60 lakh on the contract company.
