Kanker. An interstate gang selling fake potash fertilizer has been busted in Pakhanjore of the district. The gang used to color the salt and pack it as fertilizer and sell it from Rajasthan to other states including Chhattisgarh.
Let us tell you, the Agriculture Department had recovered fake fertilizer from a truck (RG 11 GB 9189) on July 2, after which the Pakhanjur police found in the investigation of the case that the fertilizer was fake. The police investigation revealed that the members of the gang were Vinod Kumar Jain, Vinay Kumar Jain and Upkar Jain, owners of Jain Chem Food Factory in Nava City, Rajasthan, who used to color the salt and prepare it as potash fertilizer. Shivkrishna Gurjar resident and Omprakash Bhadana resident Jaipur Rajasthan used to deliver printed sacks with Indian Potash Limited Hitech Biotechnology written on them to Jain Chem Food Factory.
Police investigation also revealed that this fake fertilizer was being sold from Rajasthan to other states besides Chhattisgarh. Apart from this, this gang used to sell it through the bill of their partnership firm OPS Kisan Agrocare Pvt. Ltd. and send it to sellers in different states by loading it in the truck of transporter Daulat Singh, resident of Nava City, Rajasthan.
The police registered a case under crime number 147/2024 and after tracking down the accused, arrested 4 accused (Vinod Kumar Jain, Vinay Kumar Jain, Upkar Jain and Daulat Singh) from Rajasthan. The other accused, Shivkrishna Gurjar and Omprakash Bhadana, are still absconding. The police brought all the accused to Pakhanjur on transit remand and produced them in the court.
