CG Weather Update: Orange alert for rain in 19 districts of the state, possibility of heavy rain in all divisions

Raipur. Monsoon is once again becoming active in all the divisions of Chhattisgarh. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain with thunder and lightning at many places in Surguja, Bilaspur and Raipur divisions today. At the same time, an orange alert has been issued for rain with thunder and lightning in 19 districts for the next 3 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, a new system is being formed in the state, due to which there is a possibility of good rain in all the divisions in the coming days.

Light to moderate rain with thundershowers is likely at isolated places over Balod, Balodabazar, Balrampur, Bemetara, Bilaspur, Dhamtari, Durg, Gariaband, GPM, KCG, Korba, Korea, Mahasamund, MCB, Mohla Manpur Ambagarh Chowki, Mungeli, Raipur, Rajnandgaon and Surajpur.

Monsoon activities will increase from August 24

According to meteorologists, a new system is forming in Chhattisgarh, due to which there is a possibility of increase in monsoon activities in the state from August 24.

After feeling the heat of the sun throughout the day in the capital Raipur, the rain that started in the evening brought relief to the people. Light to moderate rain was also recorded in many other districts. However, monsoon activity in the state was less than normal yesterday. The highest rainfall of 8 cm was recorded in Ratanpur of Bilaspur.

On Wednesday, the highest day temperature in the state was recorded at 35 degree Celsius in the capital Raipur and the lowest night temperature was recorded at 21.3 degree Celsius in Narayanpur.
