Raipur. There is a possibility of rain in many districts of Chhattisgarh from August 16 to August 18. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain in 9 districts of the state. In the next 3 hours, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder in Balodabazar, Janjgir-Champa, Jashpur, Mahasamund, Raigarh, Raipur, Sakti, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two districts of Surguja and Bilaspur division in 2 days. According to the Meteorological Department, the formation of a low pressure area in Gangetic West Bengal has increased the chances of rain in the state.
It has been raining lightly since morning in many districts including the capital Raipur. The Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rain with thunder and lightning at different places in Balrampur, Bilaspur, Gaurela Pendra Marwahi, Korba, Korea, Manendragarh Chirmiri Bharatpur, Mungeli, Surajpur, Surguja for the next three hours. Along with this, light rain may occur in other districts as well. Due to the rain, the temperature of the capital is likely to remain around 25°C and 28°C.
