Raipur. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain in Chhattisgarh. Orange alert has been issued for Dantewada, Sukma, Bijapur and Yellow alert has been issued for Gariaband, Dhamtari, Bastar, Kondagaon, Narayanpur for the next 3 hours.
On Monday, it rained at most places in the state. Among these, 150 mm rainfall was recorded in Rajim, 92 mm in Ambikapur, 70 mm in Pendra Road, 90 mm in Gobra Navapara, 70 mm in Mainpur-Abhanpur. Heavy rain was also recorded in the capital Raipur. There is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in the capital even today. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon activities will increase in South Chhattisgarh after July 17.
According to the information received from the state level control room set up by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department of the state government, an average rainfall of 248.5 mm has been recorded in the state since June 1, 2024. According to the rainfall recorded in various districts of the state from June 01, 2024 till today morning 15 July, the highest average rainfall of 410.7 mm has been recorded in Bijapur district and the lowest average rainfall of 135.3 mm has been recorded in Surguja district.
