Raipur, April 6, 2025/ If you want to spend time with your family in a clean environment amidst nature, then the Environment Park built in Bagia is waiting for you. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated the Environment Park in Bagia, his home village in Jashpur district. During this, the Chief Minister also planted coconut, areca nut, and Sita Ashok saplings in the park premises to convey the message of environmental protection.
Built in a scenic natural environment at a cost of ₹5.3 million over 28 hectares, the Environment Park features an adventure zone, plants rich in medicinal properties, a children’s park, a waterfall, a meditation hut, a butterfly zone displaying the life cycle of butterflies, and many other constructions that take people even closer to nature and provide a joyful experience. During this, the Chief Minister told the villagers present that its construction will create employment opportunities here.
Medicinal plants have been planted in the park.
A jungle trail has been built in the Environment Park, featuring a yoga zone, Arogya Van Path, jungle gym, butterfly zone, Mowgli Adventure Zone, oxygen booth, pagoda, Gajraj Zone, pond, natural swings, and kids’ play zone. Many species of plants rich in medicinal properties such as Harra, Giloy, Beli Bamboo, Sarpagandha, Ashwagandha, Barbados Lily, Mint, Lemon Grass, Patharchatta, Amla, etc. have been planted here.
In the butterfly zone built in the park, the entire life cycle of the butterfly is displayed, showcasing the contribution of the butterfly to the environment. All species of butterflies found in Jashpur are also displayed here. The purpose of this display is to provide information about butterflies to people and to tell them about the importance of their conservation.
Mowgli Adventure Zone has various adventure games for children.
Attractive swings have been installed for children in the kids’ play zone built in the park, including natural swings. In addition, a Mowgli Adventure Zone has been created for the entertainment of children, featuring Commando Net, Tire Walk, Balance Bridge, Tire Climbing, Rope Walk, Inclined Log, Cargo Net, Single Line Bridge, Burma Bridge, etc.
A Sarai Chhaon natural pagoda has been built in the park where one can enjoy nature with their family. Primitive sculptures depicting primitive culture by primitive artists have also been installed here. Attractive dustbins made of bamboo have also been installed in this park, showing awareness towards the environment.
The Chief Minister met the children with complete affection, gave them fruits and dry fruits.
Whenever the Chief Minister meets children, he meets them with complete affection. Today, when the Chief Minister was inspecting the Environment Park, he called the children playing there near him and spoke to them with love. The Chief Minister presented them with fruits and dry fruits. Deepanshu Yadav, Neetu Dewar, Bhim Vishwakarma, Ritesh Ram, and other children studying in primary school looked very happy after meeting the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, MLA and Vice President of Sarguja Region Tribal Development Authority Smt. Gomti Sai, Zilla Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, PCCF Shri Arun Pandey, Commissioner Narendra Dugga, IG Shri Ankit Garg, Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, Superintendent of Police Shri Shashi Mohan Singh, Divisional Forest Officer Shri Jitendra Upadhyay, IFS Shri Nikhil Agarwal, Sarvashri Ram Pratap Singh, Bharat Singh, Sunil Gupta, other officials and public representatives were present.
