Gariaband Collector Deepak Agarwal reached the district hospital last night without any information. During this, he took stock of the health facilities in the hospital and enquired about the condition of the patients. He also expressed displeasure over finding the medicine shops closed. According to the information, Collector Deepak Agarwal inspected various wards, store rooms, dressing rooms, OT and hospital premises for about an hour and took stock of the health facilities. He inquired about the health facilities being provided in the district hospital from the doctors on duty. He also sought information about the presence of doctors on duty by asking for the duty chart.
He said that better health facilities should be provided in the district hospital so that patients do not face any kind of problem. He instructed to put up emergency duty charts in front so that people can get information easily. During this, the collector went to the male and female wards of the hospital and enquired about the well-being of the admitted patients. He also inquired from their family members about the treatment arrangements and availability of doctors. Apart from this, he also asked about the food given to the admitted patients.
During the inspection, Jan Aushadhi Kendra and Dhanvantari Medical Store were found closed at night. The collector expressed his displeasure over this. He also expressed his displeasure over finding medicines in a disarray in the store room and directed to arrange them in a systematic manner. During this, SDM Rakesh Golchha, Dr. Harish Chauhan and other staff were present.
Collector Agarwal expressed displeasure over the dirt spread in the hospital premises and ordered cleaning. He also ordered cleaning of the grass grown around the corridors. He instructed to keep the toilets clean so that the patients do not have to face any chaos.
Considering the number of patients in the district hospital, the collector directed to put 2 doctors on duty at night. So that patients can get better health facilities even at night. He inspected the parking area and directed to organize the parking and provide adequate lighting in the premises.
The collector also visited the NRC room. He also reviewed the health facilities being provided to the children admitted in the NRC, which is run for the treatment of severely malnourished children. The collector also took information about the security arrangements in the hospital and instructed not to be negligent in the security of the hospital and the patients.
