High Court issues notice to MLA Devendra Yadav, next hearing on March 20

Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. The High Court has issued a notice to Bhilai Nagar MLA Devendra Yadav regarding an election petition. This petition has been filed by BJP candidate and former Assembly Speaker Prem Prakash Pandey through advocates Shailendra Shukla and Devashish Tiwari.

It has been told in the petition that important information regarding property and criminal cases has been hidden in the election affidavit of Devendra Yadav. His election has been challenged on this basis. The next hearing of the case will be on March 20.

During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer argued that suppressing information about criminal cases and property is a violation of the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, which makes the election of the candidate illegal.
