Purushottam Patra, Gariaband. Under the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the first camp of the block was organized in Doomar Bahal Panchayat. The chief guest of the event, former MLA Damrudhar Pujari and other guests flagged off the hi-tech chariot and set it off on its journey. Before this, the villagers welcomed the guests with traditional dance. School students also presented various programs based on awareness. People were given information about the schemes of the Central Government through the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. After which 380 new people applied to join the schemes.
On this occasion, the priest described the schemes of the Modi government at the Center as beneficial for all sections. Pujari said that the Congress government had hijacked many schemes, due to which the public was not getting direct benefits. Now the beneficiary will get the direct benefit of the scheme from the double engine government. The priest administered the oath of cleanliness to all the people present in the camp. To make the program successful, CEO Pratik Pradhan, Tehsildar Gaindlal Sahu, Food Officer Ravi Kumar Komra, Agriculture Officer JN Nag, BMO Sunil Reddy, Nodal Bank Manager Avinash Panda and officers of other departments were also present.
380 people applied to join the scheme
2527 beneficiaries had reached both the camps. Out of these, 380 people have given new applications to join Suraksha Bima, Jeevan Jyoti, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala and My Bharat Volunteer Scheme. Health checkup of 694 people was done in the camp. Sickle cell test of 92 people has been done on suspicion of symptoms.
Innocent Chauhan’s leg will be treated
When Khiro Bai, who was unaware of the National Child Protection Programme, reached the camp with her 2-month-old newborn son Chauhan, the department started testing him. BMO Sunil Reddy informed him about the Centre’s plan, then directed the team of Viva Dal’s AYUSH Medical Officer Suryakant Sahu to start testing the innocent child. The team has prepared to investigate and file a case under club schism. When the health department informed the victim couple about free treatment in Raipur soon, the couple’s eyes filled with tears.
The stall of Centre’s Rs 67 crore scheme was missing
Under the Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme in the block, the PHE department is running a central scheme worth Rs 67 crore in 93 villages. As per the instructions, the stall of the department was to be set up. When the guests were inspecting the stall at 11 o’clock, the PHE stall was found missing. The guests expressed their displeasure, although CEO Pradhan had already informed the officers about this. When the matter reached the top, the department found its place and put up the board at 12.10. SDO Suresh Verma arrived after 1 o’clock. SDO Verma said that his stall was set up since morning and registration was going on.
According to the information, district member Urmila Patra, who has repeatedly visited the office to repair the closed hand pump, has already expressed her displeasure over the SDO’s interest in implementing the scheme. Patra alleges that the SDO does not stay in his headquarters most of the time. Due to this the implementation of the plan is being affected.
