In the name of Ayushman Yojana, there is a loot in government hospitals! Health workers organization demanded to stop the scheme, Health Minister said – action will be taken after investigation across the state

Satya Rajput, Raipur. Questions are being raised on the government’s claim of free treatment in government hospitals, because under the Ayushman Yojana, patients are being charged fees in hospitals. There is an uproar in the state regarding this issue. The Health Employees Organization has raised the demand to stop this scheme in government hospitals. The organization says that the government pays them salary for their work, so why is there a loot in the name of incentives? The employee organization has also demanded that the money coming to government hospitals should be used for the upgradation of the hospital, so that big machines can be purchased and patients can get better facilities.

The health organization also alleges that fake patients are being admitted in greed for incentives and the posts of government employees are being changed. Some sectors have been given incentives of up to Rs 74 lakh, while computer operators have been given Rs 3 lakh each. On this matter, the capital’s District Medical Officer Dr Mithlesh Chaudhary said that a district level team has been formed as soon as the information about the case was received. This team will investigate and submit a report, and further action will be taken on the basis of the report.

Action will be taken after investigation across the state

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that information has been received from some places, after which instructions have been given for immediate investigation. He also said that this matter will be investigated not only in Raipur but in the entire state. There is a provision of incentives for those who are working hard, but strict action will be taken if irregularities are found. The minister also clarified that the incentive amount is distributed not only to doctors but to all the employees involved in it. The incentive amount is divided into three parts—one part for the development of the hospital, one part for emergency purchases and one part is deposited in the government treasury.

Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal gave an example and said that doctors who perform delivery surgery are given an incentive of Rs 5,000 and those who give anesthesia are given an incentive of Rs 3,000. Different incentive amounts have been fixed for different employees.
