The Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Arun Saw, congratulated the health workers and stated that the government is continuing its efforts to provide healthcare facilities not only to the large cities of the state but also to the remotest corners. He described the day as historic and memorable, congratulating all the awarded institutions and health workers. He noted that healthy competition is now emerging in the health sector, with health centers competing with private institutions. Shri Saw praised the dedication and commitment of the healthcare workers, expressing pride and satisfaction in the system when patients recover after treatment. He added that healthcare facilities are rapidly expanding under the double-engine government, benefiting the people of the state.
The Health Minister, Shri Shyam Bihari Jayswal, called the day a celebration for the health department, highlighting the new heights achieved in healthcare facilities in the past year. He provided information on public welfare schemes, infrastructure expansion, and future plans of the health department. MLAs Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Sunil Soni, Guru Khushwant Saheb, and Shri Anuj Sharma were present at the event.
It is noteworthy that in the 2023-24 Kayakalpa Swachh Hospital Yojana state-level award ceremony, the District Hospital, Bemetara, received first place in the District Hospital category; the District Hospital, Kondagaon, second place; and the District Hospital, Jagdalpur, the consistency award. Similarly, in the Community Health Center category, the Community Health Center, Duldula (Jashpur district), received first place; the Community Health Center, Pandaria (Kabirdham district), second place. In the Urban Primary Health Center category, the Urban Primary Health Center, Rajatalab (Raipur district), received first place and the Urban Primary Health Center, Rajkishornar (Bilaspur district), second place.
Similarly, in the Primary Health Center category, first place was jointly awarded to the Primary Health Centers of Bagodar (Kanker district), Rahod (Janjgir-Champa district), Kusmi (Bemetara district), Khorpa (Raipur district), and Bataikela (Surguja district). In the Sub-Health Center category, first place was jointly awarded to the Sub-Health Centers of Tumanar (Bijapur district), Mangri (Surguja district), Katiya (Raipur district), Ahari (Durg district), and Meethunwagaon (Bilaspur district).
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai honored 10 health workers for their outstanding work in the health sector and also honored gram panchayats that have become free from TB.
