Amit Pandey, Khairagarh. Khairagarh Municipality President Shailendra Verma is continuously getting embroiled in controversies. First the resignation controversy, then allegations of payment of lakhs of rupees without any work. Now the High Court has increased the problems of Shailendra Verma even further.
Let us tell you that in February, the matter of resignation of Municipal Corporation Khairagarh Chairman Shailendra Verma came to light. If the municipal president of the Congress party suddenly resigns as soon as the government changes, then political turmoil is bound to happen and this is exactly what happened. Just four days after the incident, Shailendra Verma made a comeback and reached the police station along with MLA Khairagarh Yashoda Verma to complain about misuse of letter pad and fake sign. A case has been registered for doing so. The High Court had already directed to investigate the entire matter and submit the report within 30 days, but Shailendra Verma filed another petition in the High Court. On which the court rejected it calling it a pre-mature case with a cost of Rs 10,000.
There was a disturbance in the whole matter due to Shailendra Verma’s haste. Now it remains to be seen what will be the outcome of this mess. At present there is still time for the investigation report of the resignation case to come. On top of that, there is also going to be a high-level inquiry into the huge embezzlement of government money worth Rs 38 lakh without any work.
