Lormi:- Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Tokhan Sahu, cherished the memories of his school days and provided modern furniture facilities for smart classrooms and studies in the same school. Under this initiative, 250 dual desks (furniture) have been provided in government schools in Mungeli and Bilaspur districts according to the standards of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, which cost around ₹ 24 lakhs. During this, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu said that it is his priority to equip government schools with necessary resources to provide high quality education. He further assured cooperation in the field of education.
Initiative to improve education in government schools
Union Minister of State Sahu completed this work through CSR Fund of Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO). This initiative will also benefit the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Semarsal (Mungeli) and Government High School, Bachhalikhurd (Bilaspur). On this occasion, Tokhan Sahu while communicating with the students shared memories of his school days and said, “Students studying in government schools should also get modern facilities. Their overall development is possible only with a better educational environment.”
Honor of excellent teachers
During the program, teachers who did excellent work in Koyalari package were honored. Nutrition Sahu (Principal, Koylari Sankul) was awarded the Excellent Principal Award. Shatrughan Sahu and Laxman Patre were honored by giving excellent teacher awards. On this occasion, District Panchayat members Shanti Devcharan Bhaskar, Anita Komal Sahu, Block Education Officer D.S. Rajput, Bharatiya Janata Party Mandal President Sushil Yadav, Rajendra Sahu, Dinesh Kashyap, Lekhraj Singh and many dignitaries and workers were present.
