Bilaspur:- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Chhattisgarh on 30 March 2025. During this time, he will inaugurate and Bhumi Pujan of important development projects in village Mohabhatta of Bilaspur district. Prime Minister Modi will reach Raipur Airport at 2:30 pm by Air Force aircraft. Will depart from Raipur Airport at 2:35 pm for disillusionment of Bilaspur via helicopter and will reach the synagogue at 3:30 pm and attend the land worship and inauguration program of various projects from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. After the program, the Prime Minister will depart from Mohabhatta Helipad to Raipur at 4:45 pm and will reach Raipur Airport at 5:25 pm. After this, they will leave for Delhi by Air Force aircraft at 5:30 pm.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of many development projects related to electricity, oil and gas, rail, road, education and housing areas of more than Rs 33,700 crore in village Mohabhatta in Bilaspur district on 30 March.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to improving the power sector across the country. Accordingly, several steps will be taken to provide cheap and reliable electricity and to make Chhattisgarh self -sufficient in power generation. He will lay the foundation stone of NTPC’s Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Phase-III (1 × 800 MW) located in Bilaspur district, which costs more than Rs 9,790 crore. The pit head project is based on state-of-the-art ultra-supercratical technology with high power generation efficiency. He will launch the work of the first Super Critical Thermal Power Project (2×660 MW) of Chhattisgarh State Electricity Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) costing more than Rs 15,800 crore. He will also dedicate three power transmission projects of Powergrid costing more than Rs 560 crore under the Western Region Extension Scheme (WRES).
According to India’s pure-zero carbon emission goals, reduction of air pollution and providing clean energy solutions, Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the city gas distribution (CGD) project of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in Korea, Surajpur, Balrampur and Surguja districts. This includes high pressure pipeline over 200 kilometers and more than 800 km MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene) pipeline and several CNG dispensing outlet costing more than Rs 1,285 crore. He will also lay the foundation stone of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) 540 km long Visakh-Raipur Pipeline (VRPL) project, which will cost more than Rs 2210 crore. The capacity of this multiplete (petrol, diesel, kerosene) pipeline will be more than 3 million metric tonnes per year.
Focusing on improving connectivity in the region, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of seven railway projects with a total length of 108 km and dedicate three railway projects with a total length of 111 km costing more than Rs 2,690 crore to the nation. He will flag off the MEMU train service in Abhanpur-Raipur section through the temple Hasaud. He will also dedicate 100 percent electrification of Indian Railways in Chhattisgarh to the nation. These projects will reduce congestion, improve connectivity and promote social and economic development in the entire region.
Increasing the infrastructure of the road in Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister will dedicate the nation by upgrading the Sherpar section from Jhalmala of NH-930 (37 km) and Ambikapur-Pathalgaon section of NH-43 (75 km) in 2 lanes. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of upgrading the Kondagaon-Narayanpur section of NH-130D (47.5 km) in 2 lanes. These projects costing more than Rs 1,270 crore will bring significant improvement in access to tribal and industrial areas, which will lead to overall development of the area.
According to his commitment to ensure education for all, the Prime Minister will dedicate two major educational initiatives including 130 PM Sri School in 29 districts of the state and Vidya Review Center (VSK) at Raipur. 130 schools will be upgraded under PM School for Rising India Scheme. These schools will help provide high quality education through well -structured infrastructure, smart boards, modern laboratories and libraries. VSK in Raipur will enable online monitoring and data analysis of government schemes related to various education.
3 lakh beneficiaries will be admitted under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) to ensure access to proper housing for rural families and to improve the overall quality of their health, safety and life. The Prime Minister will hand over the keys to some beneficiaries under this scheme.
