Earlier, the president of the tribal society had told the TI of police station Saja not to file a report under the pressure of MLA Ishwar Sahu and had complained to the collector and SDM about threatening to compromise.

According to the tribal society, on October 13, during the Dussehra program in village Chechanmetta, there was a dispute between Manish’s friend Rahul and MLA’s son Krishna Sahu at 11 pm. When Manish intervened, the MLA’s son used caste abuses and hit him with his wrist. In the fight, there were about ten other people along with the MLA’s son, who attacked Manish and his friend Rahul. After this, when the people of the society reached Saja police station to complain about the assault against Krishna Sahu, the station in-charge, under the pressure of MLA Ishwar Sahu, said not to file a report and asked for a compromise.

Seeing the lack of justice, the tribal community had complained to the Collector and SDM and had warned of agitation if a crime was not registered against Krishna Sahu. At the same time, Congress had also targeted BJP regarding this matter. After which, seeing the matter gaining momentum, finally today a case has been registered against Krishna Sahu in Saja police station under sections 296, 115(2), 351(3), 3(5) of BNS and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Act. . Now it will be interesting to see when the police administration starts action against Krishna Sahu, son of MLA Ishwar Sahu.
