RPF action: Two smugglers caught at Raipur railway station, ganja worth Rs 2.40 lakh seized

Raipur. RPF has seized ganja worth about Rs 2.40 lakh at the railway station of the capital Raipur. Two minors were carrying it with them to sell it. On the instructions of Railway Divisional Security Commissioner SK Gupta, Raipur’s Divisional Task Team and RPF Post Team completed the paperwork and arrested both the accused and handed them over to the police.

According to the information received from RPF, two suspicious boys were caught near the toilet at platform number 5, Durg end of Raipur railway station on the basis of the appearance, clothes and belongings given by the informer. They had a blue luggage bag and a purple luggage bag, which on checking were found to contain the narcotic substance ganja.

During interrogation by RPF, it was found that both of them are minors and are residents of Thana- Gairat Ganj, District- Raisen (MP). The total cost of the ganja recovered from them is estimated to be around Rs. 2,40,000. After the paperwork, RPF has handed them over to the Government Railway Police Station Raipur for further action.

In this action, Raipur RPF post in-charge inspector S. Dutta, divisional task team in-charge sub-inspector KB Gupta, sub-inspector RK Singh, sub-inspector DK Verma, sub-inspector VC Banjare, sub-inspector PK Meshram, sub-inspector Devesh Singh played an important role.
