Security lapse case: Rajya Sabha MP Ranjit Ranjan wrote a letter to the Chairman, demanded to issue a statement on behalf of the Home Minister, also appealed for discussion in the House.

Raipur. Rajya Sabha MP from Chhattisgarh Ranjit Ranjan has written a letter on Monday regarding the lapse in Parliament. He has written a letter to the Chairman of Rajya Sabha. In which he has demanded to issue a statement on behalf of Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the incident in which two people disrupted the proceedings by lighting smoke bombs in the Parliament. He has also demanded a discussion on this.

He has written in his letter that on December 13, 2023, a shocking incident came to light in which two unauthorized persons intruded into the Lok Sabha chamber. They disrupted the proceedings by raising slogans and burning smoke bombs during the ongoing session.

Before this incident, two other protesters joined the demonstration outside the Parliament House. They expressed their grievances by protesting and burning smoke bombs.

Considering the seriousness of the situation and its adverse impact on the security of the prestigious institution of Parliament and its members, I sincerely request that the Home Minister issue a statement on this matter. After which there should be a comprehensive discussion in this regard immediately.
