Raipur. The first year birth anniversary of the newly built Shri Shanidev temple in front of Maruti Life Style on Main Road Kota will be celebrated with great joy. Priest of Shani Dev temple Rohit Sharma informed that it has been only a few months since the construction of the temple. A large number of devotees come here from far and wide to have darshan of Shri Shanidev, to perform oil Abhishek on the stone and to see the decoration of the temple. This year, the first year Shri Shanidev birth anniversary is being celebrated in the temple on Jyeshtha Amavasya Krishna Paksha, 06 June, Thursday.
The priest informed that the event will start from the morning itself. First of all, Aarti will be held at 7.30 am, then Havan at 11 am, Bhandara at 11.30 am and Sundar Kand Paath from 4 pm, Maha Aarti will be held at 7.30 pm with drums and fireworks. Also, Bhog Prasad will be distributed at 8 pm and Bhajan Sandhya will be performed by Jai Kisan and Party from 7 pm.
The priest of the temple said that on the occasion of Janmotsav, the entire temple will be decorated with real flowers. On this day, it is beneficial to go to the temple and give an oil bath to Shri Shanidev. Those devotees who give an oil bath to Shri Shanidev and donate black clothes, iron, sesame seeds, urad, Shanidev bestows his blessings on them. On this special day, devotees must visit Shanidev.
