Shivling vandalized, Bajrang Dal raised slogans in police station, accused arrested

Members of Chhattisgarh Bajrang Dal and residents of Jamul went to Jamul police station and raised slogans and complained about the matter. Police have registered a case against the accused and sent him to judicial custody.

Jamul police station in-charge Kapil Dev Pandey said, the matter is of Batukeshwar Mahadev temple located in Jamul ACC Chowk Ward 1. Nandi and Shivji’s trident have been used along with Shivling in a platform. A youth named Murtaza Ali, a resident of the locality, has tried to break the Shivling and trident. An eyewitness told that he was coming from his house towards ACC Chowk last Wednesday night. He saw that Murtaza was climbing the platform of Lord Shankar. He was trying to break the Shivling with a stone. As soon as he saw people, he started running away from there.
