Raipur. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Chhattisgarh has again picked up the pace of development on the track of good governance. If we look at the last six months, the Sai government has taken historic decisions for farmers, women and youth in a very short time. To fulfill the resolution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed India, the work of preparing a vision document has also been started keeping in mind the goal of building a developed Chhattisgarh by the year 2047.
During the assembly elections, the people of Chhattisgarh were guaranteed that good governance would be established in Chhattisgarh for the happiness and prosperity in the lives of the people. Keeping this in mind, the Chhattisgarh government has formed a separate Good Governance and Convergence Department. This department is working for the successful implementation of welfare policies, best use of available resources and quick resolution of public problems. All departments have been instructed to use IT as much as possible for good governance. To monitor and review the ambitious schemes of the state government, former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late. Atal Monitoring Portal has been launched on 25 December 2023, Good Governance Day, the birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The government has implemented several decisions like approval of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for 18 lakh homeless and needy families, bonus amount of paddy to more than 13 lakh farmers at the rate of Rs. 3100 per quintal and purchase of paddy at the rate of 21 quintals per acre, giving Rs. 1000 each every month to women of more than 70 lakh poor families under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Rapid work is being done to eradicate Maoism in the Maoist-affected areas of the state. Niyad Nellnar Yojana has been started to provide better facilities to the people in these areas. Many innovative schemes like Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Krishak Unnati Yojana, Ramlala Darshan Yojana, Udyam Kranti Yojana have been started. Samman Nidhi of Loktantra Senani (MISA prisoners) has been restarted.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is starting a series of review meetings from June 13 to bring administrative tightening in all departments. He has told the officials to give top priority to the implementation of public welfare programs, transparency and accountability. He has told the administrative officials to work sensitively to solve the problems of common citizens. After the Lok Sabha elections, the Chhattisgarh government is continuously working at a fast pace to reach the government schemes to the common citizens. Preparations have been started on the implementation of many schemes like Deendayal Upadhyay Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Yojana. Revenue administration is also being strengthened. A strategy has also been prepared on geo-referencing of land maps to solve land related disputes and problems.
18 lakh houses approved
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai held a cabinet meeting on the second day of the formation of the government and approved providing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to 18 lakh 12 thousand 743 needy families as per the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. A budget provision of Rs 12 thousand 168 crore has been made for this.
Paddy bonus to 13 lakh farmers Modi ji had guaranteed the farmers of the state that upon forming the government, he would give 2 years’ pending paddy bonus to the farmers of the state. On the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Good Governance Day, the Chhattisgarh government has also fulfilled this guarantee by transferring the pending paddy bonus of Rs 3716 crore to the bank accounts of 13 lakh farmers. Procurement of paddy at Rs 3100: Fulfilling the guarantee of purchasing paddy at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre, the government made immediate payment of the support price amount of Rs 32 thousand crore to the farmers and then on 12 January, the difference amount of Rs 13 thousand 320 crore was transferred to 24 lakh 75 thousand farmers under the Krishak Unnati Yojana. This year, a record purchase of 145 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been made in the state in the Kharif season. Vandan of 70 lakh women Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the transfer of funds to the bank accounts of women was launched on 10 March 2024 in the virtual presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under this scheme, eligible women of the state are being given assistance of one thousand rupees per month. More than 70 lakh women are getting the benefit of the scheme. So far, four months’ amount of this scheme has been released. The previous government had taken away the work of ready to eat from women self-help groups. The Chhattisgarh government has now handed over this work to them again. Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana Shri Ramlala Ayodhya Dham Darshan Yojana is being operated in the state to provide free transportation facility to the devotees of Chhattisgarh to visit Shri Ramlala seated in Ayodhya. So far, thousands of visitors have been sent to Ayodhya for the darshan of Shri Ramlala at government expense. Tendu leaf collection rate now Rs 5500 The rate of tendu leaf collection remuneration in the state has been increased from Rs 4000 per standard sack to Rs 5500 per standard sack. From the current tendu leaf season itself, 12 lakh 50 thousand tendu leaf collectors are getting the benefit of the scheme. Charan Paduka Yojana will also be started by the state government for the collectors, along with this they will also be given the benefit of bonus. Five years relaxation to youth in recruitment Taking an important decision for the betterment of the youth, the state government has decided to give 05 years relaxation in the maximum age limit to the youth in various government recruitments including the police department. Candidates will get the benefit of 05 years relaxation in the age limit till 31 December 2028. PSC will be on the lines of UPSC To make the Chhattisgarh PSC examination transparent on the lines of UPSC, a commission has been constituted under the chairmanship of former UPSC Chairman Shri Pradeep Kumar Joshi. The investigation of the PSC scam has been handed over to the CBI. Five Shaktipeeths will be developed A provision of Rs 5 crore has been made in the budget for the development of 5 Shaktipeeths of the state. A 1000 km project will be started on the lines of Chardham for the development of Shaktipeeths. A provision of Rs 4500 crore has been made under Jal Jeevan Mission to ensure tap water supply to rural homes. Udyam Kranti Yojana for Youth Budget provision has also been made while starting Udyam Kranti Yojana to promote youth self-employment in the state. Under this scheme, a provision has been made to provide interest-free loan at 50 percent subsidy to the youth to establish self-employment. Emphasis on infrastructure and connectivity The work of expanding the facilities of road, rail and air traffic in the state has also started. New flights have started from Bilaspur and Jagdalpur. Provision has been made in the budget for the expansion of Jashpur and Balrampur airstrips. Facilities are also being expanded in Ambikapur and Jagdalpur airports. Free ration for the poor The Chhattisgarh government has decided to provide free ration to 68 lakh poor families for 5 years. For this, there is a provision of Rs 3400 crore in the budget. Under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 10,000 per year will be given. For this too, a provision of Rs 500 crore has been made in the budget. Re-launch of Rajim Kumbh Kalpa For the preservation and promotion of the culture of the state, the organization of Rajim fair has been started again in its wider form as Rajim Kumbh Kalpa. Many historical fairs running since ancient times in Bastar are also being given government patronage and assistance. Work to make IT hub in Raipur begins The work to make Raipur an IT hub has started. Recently, MoU has been signed with 2 IT companies, they have also been provided with furnished build-up area. The Chhattisgarh government is working towards developing Nava Raipur as an IT hub on the lines of Bengaluru. Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Health Scheme To expand health facilities in the state, it has been decided to start Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Health Scheme along with Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Work has been started to expand the building and develop facilities in two major medical college hospitals of the state, Medical College Hospital Raipur and Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Science Bilaspur (SIMS). Institute of Technology on the lines of IIT The Higher Education Department in the state has decided to implement the National Education Policy 2020. On the lines of IIT, Institutes of Technology will be built in Jashpur, Bastar, Kabirdham, Raipur and Raigarh of the state. Chhattisgarh Higher Education Mission will be established in the state. Development of State Capital Region (SCR) A provision has been made to make a detailed plan for the development of State Capital Region (SCR) on the lines of National Capital Region Development Scheme. This will promote urban development in the state. Industrial Corridor It has been decided to build Korba-Bilaspur Industrial Corridor to promote industrial activities around national highways. A provision of Rs 5 crore has been made in the budget for organising Invest Chhattisgarh on the lines of Invest India. For transparency in transportation of minerals, the system of issuing online e-transit pass for mineral transportation has been re-started. This will increase the revenue received by the state. Economic Advisory Council To increase the pace of economic development in the state, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to constitute Chhattisgarh Economic Advisory Council in consultation with expert institutions and to implement the best practices of the country and the world as per the situation of the state.
