Abhishek Semar, Takhatpur. The farmers of the area are facing a lot of trouble in getting the benefits of agriculture department related works like fertilizer, seeds, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and other schemes. The reason for this is that the department’s office has to be shifted 25 km away from the headquarters due to the dilapidated building. Due to this, the farmers at the far end of Takhatpur have to cover a distance of more than 50 km.
Due to the dilapidated building of the Agriculture Department office, this office has been shifted to Chorbhatti, 25 km away from Takhatpur headquarters. Due to the absence of an office in the headquarters during the farming season, farmers are facing problems in getting fertilizers and seeds. Farmers are pleading with the officers and leaders to reopen the office in Takhatpur.
The agriculture department was being run in a borrowed building
The Agriculture Department does not have its own building in the headquarters. Earlier, the Agriculture Department officials were constantly writing letters to the District Panchayat officials regarding the repair of the dilapidated building. The District Officer was constantly ignoring the complaint letters about the dilapidated building. There had been incidents of plaster falling from the ceiling of the building several times during office hours. This created an atmosphere of fear among the officers and employees working there. The employees informed their senior officer of the Agriculture Department about this. After this, the Takhatpur office was shifted 25 kilometers away.
The agriculture department office could have been shifted to Takhatpur itself
Actually, the plaster of the ceiling has started falling due to the lack of repair of the building of the Agriculture Department Office Takhatpur for years. During the rainy season, electric current is also felt in the walls. Recently, Ashish Sharma, who looks after the work of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, narrowly escaped when the plaster of the ceiling of the office building fell. After this, the building was locked and information was given to the higher officials. After this, the higher officials issued an order to shift the office 25 kilometers away from the headquarters. No effort was made to make an alternative building available in the headquarters itself, while there are many government buildings in the city itself, in which the office could have been shifted and work could have been done in the headquarters itself. The higher officials only saw the problems of the employees, but the problems faced by the farmers were ignored.
The officer said – we have requested for a building in the headquarters itself
In this matter, senior agriculture extension officer AK Satyapal said that due to the dilapidated condition of the departmental office building in the headquarters, the office has been shifted to Chorbhatti Khurd on the instructions of higher officials. The MLA and SDM have been requested to provide a building in the headquarters itself, but the building has not been made available yet.
