Battery operated e -rickshaw drivers will increase income due to innovative initiative of CREDA
Work is being done to increase basic facilities with solar energy
Creda CEO Rajesh Singh Rana said that the battery has been developed by the solar -operated battery swapping station Creda for a battery operations electric rickshaw as a pilot project. With the help of battery swapping, e-rickshaw drivers can replace the discharged battery at a cheap rate in a short time with a charge battery. With this, e-rickshaw drivers will be able to cover more distance daily and this will also increase their income. Similarly, solar panel-based e-rickshaws have been developed by Kreda in the form of an energy efficient e-rickshaw compared to ordinary e-rickshaws. This provides relief from the problem of charging the battery repeatedly to the rickshaw driver. Generally, rickshaw drivers are unable to cover a distance from battery charging problem every day. This problem has been largely overcome by Creda by installing solar panels in e-rickshaws. Shri Rana informed that many efforts are being made by CREDA to provide basic facilities from solar energy in rural and urban areas, including the establishment of solar plants in ashrams, health centers, energy education garden, operation of solar plants from solar plants for road lighting, establishment of community high mast lights and establishment of community biogas plants.
