Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. The lawyer couple has accused the Dial 112 team of Sarkanda police station of forcibly assaulting them. The Advocates Association surrounded the SP office regarding the matter. Victim advocate Anurag Pandey has accused the constable and driver posted at Dial 112 of throwing him out of the house and assaulting him. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. After the incident, there is anger among the angry lawyers and they are demanding to register a case against the driver and constable of 112 and suspend them immediately.

Anurag Pandey, resident of Jorapara of Sarkanda area, is an advocate in the district court. His wife is a government teacher. Both were at their home on Sunday. During this time, a dispute started between the two regarding some issue. Meanwhile, the wife’s brother called dial 112. The wife has alleged that the staff of Dial 112 forcibly entered the house and assaulted Anurag. When he tried to intervene, the policemen also abused him. After this the policemen took Anurag to the police station. Anurag got hurt due to the fight. Sarkanda police did not meet Anurag. On the contrary, he is kept in custody. Apart from this, no action was taken against the policemen who assaulted them.

The wife of the victim Anurag has filed a written complaint in the police station demanding action against the policemen of Dial 112. CCTV cameras have been installed in and around the lawyer’s house. The video of policemen assaulting the lawyer has been captured on camera. Despite this, no action has been taken by Sarkanda Police against the staff of Dial 112. On the second day of the incident, the entire group of lawyers submitted a memorandum to the SP and IG, demanding a fair investigation. Bilaspur Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh has said that action will be taken after investigating this incident within two days.
