Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. Bilaspur police has succeeded in solving the mystery of a blind murder that took place in Torwa police station area. The deceased’s wife turned out to be the mastermind behind his murder. She, along with her lover and his friend, hatched a plan to eliminate her husband and got him killed when they found an opportunity. Police have arrested 5 accused including the accused woman and her lover.
Let us tell you that on 3 September 2024, police station in-charge Rahul Tiwari received information about an unidentified body found near village Dhenka bypass road. After informing the senior officers, the police team reached the spot with the FSL team. Investigation revealed that the deceased was murdered with a sharp weapon. The deceased’s in-laws identified him as Devendra Banerjee.
After the deceased was identified, Torwa police started investigating the case under the direction of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and Kotwali CSP. During this, they came to know that the deceased’s wife Naina alias Anjali Ghritalhar used to have arguments with her husband every day, due to which she was very upset. When the police spoke to Naina alias Anjali, she first tried to mislead the police by giving evasive answers but she could not do this for long and confessed her crime.
A contract was given to kill her husband for Rs 4 lakh
The deceased’s wife Naina alias Anjali Ghritalhare told the police that she along with her lover Deepak Mahileshwar planned to kill her husband and gave him a contract of Rs 4 lakh. As per the plan, Deepak Mahileshwar along with his friends Vicky Lahare, Anil Rajak and his brother Kamal Mahileshwar carried out the murder using a surgical blade and fled from the spot leaving the body behind. The police have recovered the knife, motorcycle and mobile used in the incident. All the accused have been arrested and presented in the court.
