Surguja. Under the social concerns of Rajasthan State Electricity Generation Corporation Limited, Adani Foundation distributed e-vehicles in two development blocks of Surguja district, Udaipur and Lakhanpur, on Wednesday. In a program organized at the tehsil office premises of Lakhanpur, Ambikapur MLA Rajesh Agarwal gave e-vehicles to Dharam Singh Lakhanpur and Nand Kunwar Udaipur. A garbage collection e-vehicle was given to the Swachh Mahila Self Help Group. On the occasion of Shala Praveshotsav, it is proposed to distribute uniforms and school bags to one thousand children of government primary and secondary schools of 14 villages affected by the project of Parsa East Kete Basen coal mine on the initiative of Adani Foundation. It was started from the school of village Salhi and Parsa. Here, on the first day of school, school bags and uniforms provided by Adani Foundation were distributed to more than 250 children of government primary and secondary schools.

On this occasion, Ban Singh Netam SDM Udaipur, Ved Prakash Gupta District CEO, Chandrashila Jaiswal Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar Akash Gautam and Adani Enterprises Cluster Head Manoj Shahi were present. Apart from this, MLA representative Rakesh Agarwal, Ravi Agarwal, Saurabh Agarwal, along with Anil Pratap Singh BJP Mandal President, Prabodh Singh and Chandrabasu Prasad BJP General Secretary, Santosh Jaiswal, Keshav Agarwal, Vijay Agarwal, Deepak Agarwal were present. During the school entrance ceremony, Ravikant Yadav Block Education Officer along with Vijay Korram Sarpanch Village Salhi, Jhalluram Sarpanch Parsa, Umashankar, Santosh Neti Gram Panch, Adani Enterprises Human Resources Department Head Ram Dwivedi, Land Department Head Rajesh Sao, Mass Communication Department Head Atul Kumar Gupta, Adani Foundation Head Umendra Yadav, Saurabh Singh, Amit Rai and other staff, eminent citizens of the village Dinesh Yadav and Principals and teachers of schools graced the ceremony.

MLA appreciated CSR activities

On this occasion, MLA Rajesh Agarwal appreciated the CSR activities of Adani Foundation and requested to expand its CSR operations in Lakhanpur and Udaipur blocks, focusing on health services initiatives. Cluster head of Adani Enterprises Manoj Shahi told about various works done by the group under social concerns in the program. On the request of the MLA to expand health services, he gave his consent while giving information about the proposed 100-bed multispecialty hospital in village Salhi.

Chhattisgarh government is getting more than 2 thousand crores from Rajasthan

At present, more than 3500 people are employed directly and more than 7000 people are employed indirectly in the mining project of Rajasthan State Electricity Generation Corporation Limited. At the same time, the Central and Chhattisgarh governments are getting more than 2000 crore rupees annually from Rajasthan State Electricity Generation Corporation Limited in the form of various taxes. Adani Foundation is running many programs of education, health, infrastructure development and livelihood enhancement under social participation in Udaipur block of Surguja district.
