Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai took immediate cognizance of the incident of selling new books of the year 2024-25 session printed by Chhattisgarh Text Book Corporation as junk at Real Board Paper Mill located in Silyari and directed Additional Chief Secretary Renu Pillai to investigate the incident. After the investigation report came out, action has now been taken by the government.
Earlier, on the basis of the report of the investigation team of the School Education Department, textbook in-charge Pramod Amar Bel Ekka, peon Ajit Gupta and peon Jitendra Sahu posted in Surajpur DEO office were suspended. This action was taken on the basis of the investigation report of Surajpur SDM. Apart from this, the Surajpur District Education Officer has also sent a report of this matter to the Director of Public Education.
