Giving respite to middle class families in their quest towards possessing own house, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has eased the permission seeking norms for development of colonies and townships. Accordingly, he has directed all such permissions and NoCs required, through single window system. The Chief Minister has directed the Housing and Environment department to issue a detailed notification in this direction within one month. As per the desire of the Chief Minister, single-window delivery system will be developed in respective district collectorate in every district, from where, all kinds of permissions and No Objection Certificates required from Revenue, Town and Country Planning and Urban Administration departments for development of colonies and townships will be issued. It is worth mentioning here that recently a delegation from CREDAI had met the Chief Minister and appraised him about the difficulties being faced in getting permission and NOCs from multiple departments for colony or township development and it takes over 2-3 years leading to escalation of project cost and the same is transferred to people as they are the potential buyers and it becomes burden for them. Taking strict cognisance of the issue, the Chief Minister has asked to declare the Housing and Environment as the nodal department and empower and authorise all district collectors to issue all such permissions and No Objection Certificates. Accordingly, in every district collectorate, one Additional Collector rank official will be made nodal officer for the same. Accordingly, all builders and colonisers will be submitting all relevant applications for development of colonies and townships through single-window. Accordingly the applications will be registered here and forwarded to department concerned. The respective district Collector while conducting his regular weekly meetings will review the cases of pending applications and ensure their clearances within maximum 3 months time period through the nodal officer and Additional Collector, through single-window system.
