New Delhi: Delhi Fee for Girls (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal on Thursday (January 19, 2023) stated that she was dragged by a automotive whereas she was inspecting the state of affairs of ladies’s safety within the nationwide capital. Taking to her official Twitter account, she stated that the automotive driver had “molested her” in an inebriated situation and when she tried to pay money for him, he locked her hand within the automotive window and dragged her.
“If the Chairperson of the Girls’s Fee will not be protected in Delhi, then think about the state of affairs,” she stated in a tweet in Hindi.

Information company ANI reported citing police that Maliwal was dragged for round 10-15 meters.
The accused, cops confirmed, was in an inebriated state and has been arrested.
“FIR has been filed. A medical examination of the accused and sufferer was accomplished. The incident occurred when Swati Maliwal was standing on a footpath together with her crew,” ANI quoted a Delhi Police official as saying.
