Aamir Khan has never shied away from sharing his ambitions to bring the Indian epic Mahabharat to the big screen. While the project has been discussed for decades, it has yet to materialize. When asked during a conversation why the film hasn’t been made yet, especially given the ongoing work on a Ramayana-based film, Aamir revealed, “My work has begun internally.” He elaborated that the project has been in his mind for the past 25-30 years, a result of generations of hard work and foresight. He confirmed that the film would soon become a reality, calling it the most important project of his life. Khan added, “Mahabharat is not a film, it’s a yajna, so you have to be prepared for it.” He acknowledged that the process would take time, but the outcome would be rewarding.
