The release of ‘War 2,’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, has generated considerable buzz, marking their first on-screen pairing and Jr. NTR’s Bollywood debut. However, the film faces a challenge from Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’ in the box office race.
Initial predictions estimate that ‘War 2’ could gross Rs 52.5 crore on its opening day across India. The film is expected to perform best in the Hindi-speaking regions, contributing Rs 29 crore, followed by the Telugu market with Rs 23.25 crore. The Tamil market is predicted to contribute Rs 25 lakh.
Despite the high expectations, ‘War 2’s’ predicted figures fall short of ‘Coolie,’ which earned Rs 65 crore on its opening day across India.
‘War 2’ features Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, with Kiara Advani and Ashutosh Rana also playing significant roles. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. It has been released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Jr. NTR shared his positive experience on set, praising Hrithik Roshan and Ayan Mukerji. He highlighted Hrithik’s energy and the insights he gained, expressing his enthusiasm for the audience to see the film on August 14th.
Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol have cameo appearances. Bobby Deol’s appearance in the post-credit scene sets the stage for ‘Alpha’, which features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, with Bobby Deol set to play the villain. Anil Kapoor is introduced as the new R&AW chief after the death of Colonel Karan Luthra.
