Ajay Devgn’s recent films have not performed well, leading to concerns about his box office appeal. The actor is now banking on five upcoming films to change his fortunes. These include ‘Drishyam 3,’ which has been announced with a release date of October 2, 2026, on Gandhi Jayanti. The previous two installments of ‘Drishyam’ were well-received, creating anticipation for the third. Another highly anticipated project is ‘Golmaal 5,’ the fifth installment of the hit comedy franchise, hinted at by Rohit Shetty’s cameo in Son of Sardaar 2. Shetty is currently occupied with a project with John Abraham, after which he is expected to collaborate with Ajay Devgn. ‘Ranger’ is another project where Devgn teams up with Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti, co-starring Sanjay Dutt. This film tells the story of a forest officer fighting against illegal animal poaching in the forests. The fourth installment of ‘Dhamaal’ is also in the works, with shooting already completed and a release expected soon. Lastly, there’s ‘Shaitaan 2,’ which is the sequel to the 2024 hit film and a remake of the Gujarati film Vash. The makers are reportedly exploring ideas to maintain the suspense.
