The Supreme Court has canceled the bail previously awarded to Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his co-defendants, including Pavithra Gowda, in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case. A bench of the Supreme Court, comprising Justices J B Pardiwala and R Mahadevan, found the Karnataka High Court’s decision to be deficient and problematic. The court highlighted that the bail order could undermine the trial’s integrity and potentially affect witness testimonies.
