Priya Sachdev Kapur, the widow of the late Sunjay Kapur, is seeking to keep details of her late husband’s assets private. She has requested the Delhi High Court to modify the court’s previous order, which required the disclosure of Sunjay Kapur’s assets as of the date of his death. Kapur wants the information to be sealed and the children of Karisma Kapoor to sign a non-disclosure agreement. The court will hear the matter, but has suggested that the information isn’t inherently confidential and that such secrecy could harm the defense. The lawyer for Karisma Kapoor’s children has indicated that the move for confidentiality is a way to avoid scrutiny of the assets, some of which have been removed from bank accounts. The court will make an important decision concerning the confidentiality of this information in a partition matter.
