The first eviction episode of Bigg Boss 19 saw a double elimination, with two contestants being sent home. Natalia Janoszek, a Polish actress, and Nagma Mirajkar were the unlucky ones. The evictions occurred during the third ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’, after the first two weeks saw no eliminations. Mridul Tiwari and Awez Darbar, also nominated, were saved by the audience. Natalia’s journey ended due to her difficulty in communicating with the other contestants because of her limited Hindi. Nagma’s quiet approach to the game also led to her eviction. She was criticized for not being active in the show. She entered the show along with her boyfriend, Awez Darbar, who is still in the house. The host, Salman Khan, had previously advised Awez to be more involved in the game. The show started with 16 contestants, and later introduced Shehbaz Badesha as a wildcard, bringing the total count to 17 before the double elimination. The remaining contestants are now 15.
