The original film featured Emraan Hashmi, Shriya Saran, Mrinalini Sharma, and Ashutosh Rana. ‘Awarapan 2’ promises a fresh on-screen pairing. The film is described as a romantic thriller, with Emraan Hashmi returning as Shivam Pandit. The makers have cast Disha Patani as the lead actress, considering her ideal for the role. While Mohit Suri directed the original, Nitin Kakkar will helm the sequel. The focus is on both the narrative and the music of the film. Production is expected to begin soon, with shooting planned for late this month or early October. The aim is to wrap up filming by January 2026, with a potential release in the summer of 2026.
