The animated film ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ is preparing for its digital release on Netflix after a successful run in theaters. The movie captivated audiences and proved to be a box office success, even without prominent stars.
Netflix has confirmed that ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ will be available for streaming starting September 19, 2025. The film will be accessible to viewers in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Netflix India announced the release with a promotional message: “Bhakti shakti ka roop legi, Aa raha hai Mahavatar Narsimha. Watch Mahavatar Narsimha, out 19 September, 12:30 PM, on Netflix.”
The voice cast includes Aditya Raj Sharma voicing Hiranyakashipu, Haripriya Matta as Prahlad, and Harjeet Walia as Lord Narsimha. Additional voice talents are Sanket Jaiswal, Priyanka Bhandari, Vasundhra Bose, Sanchit Wartak, Saanwari Yagnik, Dinesh Varma, Uplaksh Kochhar, Akshay Joshi, Dixoan Shah, Shahid Zafar, Rakesh Soni, Ayushi Anand, and Anshul Sharma.
The plot of ‘Mahavatar Narsimha’ revolves around the demon Hiranyakashyap, who declares himself a god, while his son Prahlad remains a devotee of Lord Vishnu. To safeguard Prahlad and vanquish Hiranyakashyap, Lord Vishnu takes the form of Narsimha. The film is a production of Kleem Productions and presented by Hombale Films, the studio behind popular Kannada movies such as ‘KGF Chapter 1’, ‘KGF Chapter 2’, ‘Salaar’, and ‘Kantara’.
The creators intend to establish the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe, planning films based on the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu. Ashwin Kumar directed the movie, and Jayapurna Das wrote the script. Sam C. S. composed the music and background score, and Ajay Verma and Ashwin Kumar were the editors.
