The wedding plans of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and musician Palash Muchhal have encountered a significant delay, but sources close to the family confirm it is far from being called off. The ceremony was abruptly postponed just prior to its scheduled date due to a sudden and serious health issue concerning Smriti Mandhana’s father. This unfortunate event was compounded when Palash Muchhal also faced a health crisis, requiring him to be hospitalized.
With both individuals now out of the hospital and on the path to recovery, there is renewed hope for the wedding to proceed. Palak Muchhal, Palash’s sister and a prominent singer herself, had earlier confirmed the postponement, requesting privacy for the family during this challenging period. Her statement emphasized the sensitive nature of the situation and the need for understanding from the public.
To address the growing online speculation, Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, has stepped forward with a reassuring message. She affirmed that the wedding is very much on, despite the recent setbacks. “Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain… Palash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome… Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi,” she was quoted as saying. This clarification aims to debunk rumors fueled by Smriti Mandhana’s decision to remove certain wedding-related content from her social media profiles, which was misinterpreted by many.
Reports indicate that Palash experienced a sharp rise in his blood pressure shortly after the postponement, necessitating immediate medical attention. He received treatment in Sangli and later in Mumbai, and is now reported to be in stable condition, having been discharged from medical care.
