Amidst persistent rumors suggesting a change in the lead actor for the ‘Shaktimaan’ film adaptation, director Basil Joseph has clarified that Ranveer Singh remains the chosen actor for the role. These rumors, often spread by overzealous marketing teams, had suggested that Allu Arjun might replace Singh. The original series, featuring Mukesh Khanna, captivated audiences on Doordarshan for eight years starting in 1997. Joseph, who is both writing and directing the film, emphasized that Ranveer Singh has been the project’s focus from the outset. Sources close to the project have quashed any speculation about a casting change, stating that Ranveer Singh is the only actor set to play Shaktimaan.
