Shahid Kapoor to Star in ‘Cocktail 2’ with Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna

Shahid Kapoor has confirmed his next project, ‘Cocktail 2,’ with a social media announcement. This news comes after reports that his film with Vishal Bhardwaj, currently titled ‘Romeo,’ will be released in December, potentially facing a box office battle against Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandar.’ Kapoor, who has been busy with ‘Deva,’ is now focusing on this sequel. The actor shared photos hinting at the new project, showcasing a fresh cast. ‘Cocktail 2’ will star Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, the latter known for her success in ‘Pushpa 2,’ which earned over 1800 crore. The film is anticipated to be a blend of romance, comedy, and drama. Homi Adajania’s wife hinted at the filming commencement via an Instagram story, with shooting scheduled to be completed by January 2026, in India and Europe. Besides ‘Cocktail 2,’ Kapoor has ‘Arjun Ustran’ in the pipeline, while Sanon is working on ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ and Mandanna is set to appear in ‘Thama.’ The original ‘Cocktail’ grossed 121 crore worldwide against a budget of 45 crore.
