The music world mourns the loss of Zubeen Garg, who died in an accident while scuba diving in Singapore. A representative from the North East India Festival in Singapore confirmed the news. The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, is overseeing the process of bringing the singer’s body back to India. The post-mortem has been concluded in Singapore, and Garg’s mortal remains are being handed over to a team, including Shri Shekar Jothi Goswami, Shri Sandeepan Garg, and Shri Siddharth Sharma (Manager), with Indian Embassy officials present. It was reported that Garg encountered breathing difficulties while scuba diving and received immediate CPR before being taken to Singapore General Hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead in the ICU around 2:30 PM IST. Zubeen Garg began his professional singing career in 1992 with the release of his debut album ‘Anamika’. In 1993, he recorded ‘Tumi Junu Pariba Hun’ and ‘Tumi Junaki Hubakh’. He released his first Bihu album, Ujan Piriti, before relocating to Mumbai in 1995. He gained widespread recognition for the song ‘Ya Ali’ from the film ‘Gangster’ in 2006.
