Sussanne Khan has penned a moving tribute to her beloved mother, Zarine Khan, following her recent passing. The interior designer shared her sentiments on Instagram, describing her mother as an irreplaceable ‘guiding light’ and her ‘best friend.’
Reflecting on her mother’s influence, Sussanne wrote a powerful message about the grace and love with which Zarine lived her life. “You taught us all to live it our own way… with the epitome of grace and love,” Sussanne shared, expressing a wish that her family could embody even a fraction of her mother’s brilliance. The entrepreneur continued, “We love you beyond love, beyond life… and from now until we all meet again n laugh and dance together… you teach the angels in heaven how to love… they are so lucky to have you.”
The emotional note, filled with emojis conveying deep sadness and hope, ended with the touching declaration, “P.S You took all our hearts with you.” The song “My Way” by Frank Sinatra and Willie Nelson provided a poignant soundtrack to the tribute.
The outpouring of support from the film fraternity was evident, with numerous stars like Huma Qureshi, Maheep Kapoor, and Rhea Chakraborty extending their sympathies. Zarine Khan was married to veteran actor Sanjay Khan and leaves behind her husband and children Zayed Khan, Sussanne Khan, Farah Khan Ali, and Simone Arora. Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad were among those present at the funeral. A prayer ceremony is planned for Monday.
