Ed Kelce has divulged intimate details about the proposal that led to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s engagement. Ed confirmed the proposal took place almost two weeks before, as reported earlier. While the initial report suggested a garden in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, the actual proposal happened in Travis’s home in Leawood, Kansas. Ed received the good news when the couple called him during an Eagles open practice. Ed recalled, “He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine,’ … They got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful.” Ed noted that Travis had considered postponing the proposal for a more elaborate event, but Ed advised him to choose a special moment regardless of the setting. The families, including both sets of parents, were promptly notified via FaceTime. The couple’s joy was evident in photos shared on their special day. The engagement ring, a bespoke creation by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine, featured an old mine brilliant-cut diamond set within a classic gold bezel.
