Following his death in Singapore, the body of singer Zubeen Garg was brought to Guwahati. Upon arrival, the mortal remains were taken to his residence. The public is invited to pay their respects at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex (Sarusajai Stadium) on September 21, between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM. The Government of Assam has announced a three-day state mourning period in honor of Zubeen Garg, a beloved cultural icon. No official entertainment or public celebrations will be held during this time. The Education Minister of Assam, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, mentioned that a Cabinet meeting would be held to address the incident and related matters.
